Lubuk Linggau. Penjabat (Pj) Wali Kota Lubuk Linggau, H Koimudin menjadi Inspektur Upacara (Irup) pada peringatan Hari Santri Nasional (HSN) tahun 2024 di Lapangan Stadion Mini Kayuara (Perbakin) Lubuk Linggau, Senin (22/10/2024).
Dalam sambutannya, H Koimudin mengungkapkan setiap tanggal 22 Oktober adalah momentum bagi semua untuk mengenang dan meneladani para santri yang telah memperjuangkan dan mempertahankan kemerdekaan Indonesia.
Sejarah telah mencatat bahwa kaum santri adalah salah satu kelompok yang paling aktif menggelorakan perlawanan terhadap para penjajah.
Koimudin lebih jauh mengatakan peringatan HSN tahun 2024 mengusung tema “Menyambung Juang Merengkuh Masa Depan” dapat dimaknai sebuah penegasan bahwa santri masa kini memiliki tugas untuk meneruskan perjuangan para pendahulu yang telah berjuang tanpa kenal lelah demi kemerdekaan dan keutuhan bangsa.
“Menyambung Juang bukan hanya berarti mengenang, tetapi juga beraksi dengan semangat yang sama dalam menghadapi tantangan zaman modern,” sambungnya.
Jika para pendahulu berjuang melawan penjajah dengan angkat senjata, maka santri saat ini berjuang melawan kebodohan dan kemunduran dengan angkat pena.
Jika para pendahulu mewariskan nilai luhur untuk bangsa, maka santri masa kini bertanggung jawab untuk tidak sekedar menjaganya, melainkan berkontribusi dalam membangun masa depan Masyarakat yang lebih baik.
Ia berharap HSN tahun 2024 menjadi momentum untuk merengkuh masa depan dengan semangat dan ketekunan, kuasai ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, teruslah berinovasi dan berkontribusi untuk meraih kegemilangan masa depan Indonesia.
